OBJECTIFIED

A new documentary film by Gary Hustwit, the director of 'Helvetica'

The Canadian premiere is at the Bloor Cinema in Toronto, May 3rd and 4th (tickets)

From objectifiedfilm.com:

"'Objectified' is a feature-length documentary about our complex relationship with manufactured objects and, by extension, the people who design them.  It's a look at the creativity at work behind everything from toothbrushes to tech gadgets.  It's about the designers who re-examine, re-evaluate and re-invent our manufactured environment on a daily basis.  It's about personal expression, identity, consumerism, and sustainability.
What can we learn about who we are, and who we want to be, from the objects with which we surround ourselves?"

The film features Paola Antonelli of the MOMA NY, Ronan & Erwan Bouroullec, the people of IDEO, Naoto Fukasawa, Jonathan Ive (responsible for Apple's design force), Hella Jongerius (who I blogged!), Marc Newson, Dieter Rams, Karim Rashid (a well-known designer who used to teach at OCAD) and many many many more.
