These are brilliant.
Francesca Lanzavecchia graduated from the masters program at the Eindhoven Design Academy in 2008, with 'pro aesthetics supports' as her thesis project. She "explored the perception of disability through its artifacts" (designboom), redesigning common medical pieces associated with disability.
The pieces themselves are in many ways traditionally functional, but in others completely reinvented (as storage? as accessory? as a cell phone holder?) and very expressive.
Not to mention hilarious.
